The Financial Conduct Authority expects any intermediary to disclose to the customer that a commission will be payable by the owner or creditor to the intermediary, and, if the customer asks, the amount of that commission. The Financial Conduct Authority has made it clear that “commission” means any financial consideration.
If you would like us to disclose any commission please make your request to our head office address on our contact page or by email to hello@automotivescotland.com or by telephone: 01292 627 001
What does Automotive Scotland do for you when we source possible finance deals?
Where you are looking to lease your vehicle, we have commercial arrangements with funders we can
introduce you to. We are legally acting as a “credit broker” when we do this.
Funders we work with pay us commission when we introduce you to them to set up a finance agreement for
your vehicle lease. We are independent of the funders, and we work with a range of selected funders to find
you a suitable deal. The commission or fees we earn does not influence our decision on who we introduce you
to, and we will always present you with the cheapest offer available to you from our panel of funders, unless
you instruct us to exclude or only use a specific funder(s).
Which service will we provide for you?
We don’t give you advice or make recommendations to you and the decision to go ahead with the finance agreement is entirely yours. Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to negotiate a better or different finance deal if you shop around.
